During the month of February, gather with Madera Church for an “in-person” parking lot service at EFCGV! We will gather Sundays at 3 pm, with two options for seating. We invite you to either park in your car and tune in with your radio, or sit outdoors in provided seating that is physically distanced. Kids ministry available during service.
Madera Church is a church family made up of Home Groups. We meet at different times, days and locations to discuss Sunday’s message, have fellowship, pray for and support one another in our journey with Christ. Find a Group that is a fit for you by exploring the various options here!

Nehemiah Part 6 – Don’t Listen to the Lies
    Nehemiah 6:1-16
    1) When distracted by "good opportunities," stand firm on Godly priorities (vs 1-4) 2) When distracted by gossip and slander, be determined to press forward (vs 5-9) 3) When distracted by fear of the future, obey the Lord in the present (vs 10-14)
God will help us accomplish the important work set before us.

Nehemiah Part 5 – Trouble Inside the Walls
References: Nehemiah 5, Ephesians 4:26, Psalm 4:4, and Galatians 1:10
In Chapter 5 we see a problem revealed within the walls of the city (vs. 1-5), Nehemiah confronts this problem head on and finds a solution (vs 6-13), and concludes by showing how he chose to lead by example(vs. 14-19).
This passage is a great reminder to not sin in our anger, but to take the time to calm down and find a solution that will give God the glory.

Madera Church Staff

Lead Pastor:
Bill White
Pastor Bill and his wife, Megan, married in 2001. They served in CO (2002-2008) and IL (2008-2019) before being called by the Lord to plant a church here in AZ. Bill’s passion is sharing the hope of Jesus, partnering with parents, and equipping people to use their gifts for God’s glory. He received a BA in Bible & Theology in 2002 and completed a MA in Spiritual Formation in 2016. Bill loves being with people, but get’s recharged by being alone in God’s creation. He enjoys hiking in the mountains, hunting big game, nature photography, and going on drives with his family to look for wildlife. A favorite passage from the Bible, amongst many, is 2 Corinthians 5:11-21.
Worship Experience Director:
Victor Corrales
Victor C. was born in Phoenix and is our only staff member native to Arizona. He spent 12 years serving as a Youth ministry and Music Director and is also currently on staff at Evangelical Free Church of Green Valley where he has served for 2 years. Victor and his wife Milca want to be a light in our community and he particularly has a heart to minister to broken homes and hurting hearts here in the desert. Victor enjoys both watching and play football and soccer, as well as making and playing music. His favorite verse is Psalm 37:4.
Communications Director:
Megan Miller
Megan loves to bring her knowledge of technology and communication to grow ministries. She serves as the IT Coordinator on staff at her home church in Iowa. She also served as the Co-Director for VBS and Day Camp for two years and assisted with planning the Children’s Ministry for four years. Megan was born and raised in Iowa. She attended school at Century College to study kitchen and bath design, and loves interior design. She enjoys going to any and all Iowa Hawkeye sporting events, and spending time with her family, and dog, Macie. Megan’s life verse is Isaiah 41:10.
 Children Ministry Director:
Abby Brayer
Abby accepted Christ as her personal Savior at 6 and her passion is to show children that they are not too young to understand the Gospel and let God use their whole lives to grow in His grace and knowledge. God put it on her heart to attend a Bible College and get a degree in elementary education. She has used that knowledge to work in Christian and public schools as well as homeschool her own daughters. Abby has been a Children’s ministry director of preschool age and taught kids of all ages in church for many years. Her hobbies include reading a good historical fiction book, hiking, and baking. It is Abby”s  joy to be a helpmate to her husband and a mom to her 3 awesome daughters. Her favorite verse is Galatians 2:20.
 Home Groups and Outreach Pastor:
Linc Brayer
Linc served as a youth & family pastor in Sahuarita for seven years, after serving as a pastor at a rural church in Iowa. He received his BA in Journalism at UW- Madison, and did seminary graduate work at Calvary Theological Seminary in Kansas City.  He loves people in general, and has a special heart for “outsiders” and the unchurched. Building friendships and discussing God’s Word and how it relates to real life are his passion, so Small Groups and Outreach are a good fit. Linc enjoys music and movies, hiking, tennis, and cooking and eating good food! He also loves just hanging out with his bride of 20 years and three beautiful daughters. Linc’s life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.
Worship Leader:
Victor Minjarez
Victor M. was born in Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico and moved to the US in 2008. He has been playing guitar and singing for more than 20 years. Since coming to the US, Victor toured with a band in CA for 3 years before serving as a worship leader for 4 years locally in AZ. Victor loves hearing the congregation sing as he leads and hopes the Lord will touch hearts, the same way He touches his own. For fun Victor enjoys singing, playing instruments and working around the yard with his family. He and his wife Jessica are excited to join the Madera Church team. His favorite verse is Psalm 13:5-6.
Church Administrator:
JoAnne Spencer

JoAnne and her husband moved to Arizona from New England in 2008. She is very excited to be a part of Madera Church. Having served as director of women’s ministries in a New Hampshire church, and as an executive assistant in her business life, she is looking forward to assisting in administration at Madera Church. JoAnne enjoys reading non fiction historical books and visiting her 5 grandchildren located from Seattle to Boston and spending time with her husband. One of her favorite verses is Psalms 122:1&2.
